Aoife trained as a primary school teacher in Ireland and spent 6 years teaching children from extremely disadvantaged backgrounds. She then trained as an Educational Psychologist, completing an MA at University College Dublin. Her research looked at developing self-regulated learning in primary school children.
She has worked as a psychologist with children and young adults for the past 10 years with behavioural problems, social and learning difficulties, anxiety, school refusal, school readiness and children with developmental delays. She has extensive experience supporting children on the autism spectrum and with intellectual disabilities. She also has a keen interest in mindfulness and fostering resilience.
Aoife is also available for staff training in areas including but not limited to Mindfulness, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Challenging Behaviour, Bereavement, Positive Behaviour Support.
Aoife is a mother to three young children.
