Brad is a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist who offers psychological therapy for adults, adolescents, older adults, couples, and families.  He works with clients who present with Anxiety (e.g., Phobias, Panic, Worry, Social Anxiety), Mood Disorders (e.g., Depression, Bipolar Disorder), Obsessions & Compulsions (e.g., OCD, OCPD), Traumatic Stress and Complex Trauma (e.g., PTSD, Abuse, Neglect), Dissociative Disorders (e.g., DID, Depersonalization), Mild to Moderate Psychosis (e.g., Voices, Delusions, Paranoia), Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), , Addictions (e.g., Substance Abuse, Gambling) or Eating Disorders (e.g., Anorexia, Bulimia, Binging, Obesity).  Brad also helps clients experiencing relationship and parenting problems, behavioural or anger problems, self-esteem and identity issues, shyness and social skills difficulties, insomnia and sleep difficulties, grief and bereavement, caregiver stress or burnout, chronic Illness or chronic pain, and any other life adjustment difficulties.

Brad has completed Masters Degrees in both Counselling and Clinical Psychology with research into Dissociation, Anxiety, and Memory, receiving national and state prizes for research into the field of trauma. Brad has completed intensive training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy the USA with the treatment developer, Prof Marsha Linehan, and has attended a mindfulness training retreat led by her in Germany.  Brad has also completed intensive training in the DBT-Prolonged Exposure (DBT-PE) protocol for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with the treatment developer, Dr Melanie Harned.  He has also completed Level 3 Training in Radically Open DBT with Radically Open Ltd’s Dr. Sophie Rushbrook. Brad has been a reviewer for academic journals on the topic of DBT and has delivered training workshops in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Psychiatric Interviewing & Mental State Examination.  Brad is also a nurse with extensive experience in mental health nursing.  He is a Member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association and a Clinical Member of the Christian Counsellor’s Association of Australia.  And just in case you were wondering, Brad wears an eyepatch because he lost an eye as a child, which means you can enjoy an occasional pirate joke with him.
